A brief history

BeaufighterTFXThe Bristol Beaufighterwas a multi-role aircraft developed during the Second World War by Bristol Aeroplane Company in the UK. It was originally conceived as a heavy fighter variant of the Bristol Beaufort bomber. The Beaufighter was a versatile aircraft used in service initially as a night fighter. Whilst the Beaufighter was a fast plane for the time, it suffered due to a lack of maneuverability.

The plane would later go on to be more of a, maritime strike and ground attack specialist due to it’s heavy armory of rockets, bombs and torpedos.

Variants built in Australia by the Department of Aircraft Production (DAP) were sometimes referred to by the name DAP Beaufighter.

This kit was part on a local club group build and was build out of the box. I have always loved this plane and jumped at the chance to buid it. Hats off to Airfix on this little beauty of a kit.
