RAAF Spitfire Mk VIII Grey Nurse Build | WWII Australian Fighter
The Spitfire Mk VIII was one of the most capable variants of the famous Supermarine fighter and saw extensive service with the Royal Australian Air Force in the Pacific theatre during the Second World War. Among the most recognisable were the aircraft carrying the distinctive “Grey Nurse” shark mouth markings inspired by the grey nurse shark native to Australian waters.
This build focuses on capturing the worn operational appearance of these Australian Spitfires, combining subtle weathering and careful paintwork to bring character and realism to one of the most iconic RAAF fighters of the war.
