A brief history

Midget Racer picFounded in the late 30’s by Frank Kurtis, Kurtis Kraft designed and built midget cars, quartermidgets, sports cars, sprint cars and USAC Championship Cars.

The company went on to produce 550 ready to race vehicles and 600 kits.

Initially featuring the Offenhauser motor, the The Midget was described as “virtually unbeatable for over twenty years”, by the  National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame.

Vic Edelbrock would later challenge the dominance of the Offenhauser motor with his modified Ford V-8 engine (as seen in this model)

Kurtis was the first non-driver inducted in the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame
