A brief history

TheWorkbench - Fine Molds - Tie Interceptor - formation

Produced by the likes of Sienar Fleet Stystems, the TIE Interceptor was a second generation style of fighter. It was first seen in use by the Galactic Empire during the Battle of Endor. It’s four arrow shaped panels made it instantly identifiable. Fixed laser cannons on the panel tips increased the firpower threefold from the standard Tie Fighter.

It carried twin Ion engines and was flown by a single pilot.

This Fine Molds fit is simply stunning. As it is only 1/72 scale, it is quite small, but the level of detail and the engineering of the kit are some of the best I have seen. It is simple but stunning. From what I understand these kits are getting very hard to find, so if you see one don’t let it get away. I can’t rave about these kits enough.

A very difficult kit to find...but you might get lucky
